Prenup Pictorial

MJ, my make-up artist, arrived at our house around 7am. She's with her loving mother. MJ started at 8am and finished my look at around 10am. We were scheduled with the photographers and videographers at 11am, so I thought we're on time. However, there is a heavy traffic in Alabang. We've finally arrived the meeting place in McDonald's Commerce Ave. at 11:30am. :(

We planned to have our prenup photoshoot at the Filinvest, Alabang, on the bicycle loop area. Unfortunately, the guard on duty required us to have a photoshoot permit first. Due to lack of time to process the permit, we decided to change our venue instead. Apple suggested that we can use the park inside their village, BF Heva. At first I was doubted the place. It is old and I know the playground is already rustic, but because I can't think of any other substitute, I agreed.

At this point, I am already super stressed that everything is not going as what is supposed to be. I just told myself that whatever happens, I just have to enjoy the moment. I don't want to forever regret not enjoying this once in a lifetime event in our (Frank and I) life.

At last, the shoot started at 12:30pm. I know everyone's hungry so I asked mom if she could have something delivered for us. Anyway, back to the photoshoot, I was never comfortable in front of camera with all the eyes of the people around us are staring. So at first, I was awkward and all, so is Frank. Apple and Faye are already teasing us why are we acting awkwardly. Haaha.. After sometime, I somehow manage to be at ease but Frank really can't. I know he really doesn't like being on the spotlight. Hahaha.. Ms. Jes of Santiago Alfonso Fotografia showed us some of their shots and I stand corrected for judging the park. It's beautiful there considering the fire tree's dried leaves on the floor.

Our first set-up was semi-formal. I was wearing a royal blue- laced dress and Frank was wearing a polo, mustard-colored pants and sneakers. Actually we don't want any set-up to be so formal. The second look was something bubbly. Frank was wearing shorts and long-sleeves shirt while I was wearing a crop top and high-waisted skirt. The last was the best of all. Frank and I are just wearing white shirts and shorts. What's special about it is we are going to be soaked.. in water! We'll be car washing the Strada and I've prepared water balloons as well. ;)

So here are some of our pictures:

I would like thank everyone present in thsi photoshoot:
* Faye - for assisting and taking personal pictures
* Apple - for styling us
* Santiago Alfonso Fotografia - photographer/videographer
* MJ Bornales - make-up artist
* MJ's mom - for entertaining us. ;)

Well, for me they were so much yummy (that's why I can't judge at cooking contests! Haha). Anyway, good thing Apple is with us so she was able to talk with the head waiter to add a little more salt or other small stuff. But overall, she said everything was great. DIY Nautical-themed Bridal Shower Invitation

I really enjoy DIY projects. So for my bridal shower and wedding, I decided to do a lot of crafting.

Now I will share with you my invitation for my bridal shower. Apple (my bestfriend) and I decided to have a nautical-themed party. So we asked our friend, Angie, to do the layout that incorporates the theme then I'll do the rest. Here are some photos of the invites: 😉

What I love about it is the craft ribbon I've placed around it. 😊 I love the colors as well.

Ayoko na ng Suman - SUPER CUTE!!!

Recently, the Disney Film, Frozen, has become a phenomenal item here in the Philippines. You'll hear most of Filipino children singing songs from the movie. And now, here's a clip from YouTube, uploaded by Noypi Stuff, of a cute little girl singing her version of "Do You Wanna Build A Snowman".

Davao: Life is Here. Happiness is Here.

I went to Davao last March 11-14, 2014 with a big group composed of 7 adults and 3 kids. The moment we landed at Davao International Airport, we saw this signage. (Yay, right? haha)

We didn't arrange any airport-hotel transfers so good thing, outside the airport, there are lots of vans that you can rent for a minimal fee. We got ours for P500, just to drop us of at our hotel, Regency Inn.

Regency Inn is a small and very affordable hotel located at Villa Abrille St. We got our Twin Deluxe Room for only Php 1,200.00, that's good for 4 adults with breakfast.

It's a bit old and creepy but we decided to stay here because we arrived at Davao at around 5pm and we just want some place to sleep in at the lowest cost.

Our stay has a complimentary breakfast at Octane, so of course we'd grabbed it. At first, I lowered my expectations as I've judged the place to be a miser. But I was happily wrong! The food was great and they give big servings! Happy Tummy!!!

What I like:
  • Affordable
  • Has heater for the shower
  • Great food
  • Nice airconditioning

What I don't like:
  • Old
  • Creepy
Overall, Regency Inn is a nice hotel to stay in if you're on a budget.

The day after, we had a city tour and our first destination is the People's Park. Nothing to see much here really. Just a park where Davaoeños walk, jog and exercise. There are some sculptures, of course as most of parks have. The park also has a little playground for the kiddos.
This is my sister, Faye, imitating one of the sculptures.
My nephew, Drake, having fun at the playground.

Next destination, Japanese Tunnel. This tunnel was carved out of Matina Balusong during the World War II. The Japanese used this as a hide-out from the Americans. Inside, there is a conference area, a worshipping area, an arms storage, and also a very small cell where they put the men they capture, and let them starve to death inside. Entrance fee is Php50.

Last but not the least for our city tour, is the Crocodile Park. Crocodiles are not the only animals you can see here. It is a mini zoo, where you can have photo ops with the animals for only Php40.
They also have animals shows!

It's time for us to head to our next destination, Samal Island. Samal Island is where famous beach resorts of Davao is located. Getting on the Island is only approximately 10 mins from port. There are so many water sports/adventures you can try here. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do so because we have children with us. Anyway, we stayed at Blue Waters Resort.
 See the clear water of Davao?
Great sunset.
And you can also stay at the beach front at night! Inuman na!
The only water adventure we've tried, banana boat. It costs Php300 per person for 15min.

Before we head back to Manila, we had the chance to stay one more night in Davao. So, we stayed at Park Inn by Radisson in Lanang. It's a very comfortable place to stay in and a very clean one too.
 Big and comfortable beds!
 Delectable food.
Very nice swimming pool.

Davao is such a beautiful and rich place. Just get your nose ready for the smell of Durian! Haha.. Anyway, it's worth visiting.
